Historical research can be a time consuming task and it is surprising what is available.
Sometimes it can be sensible to let professionals comb through the archives on your behalf. Often they have access to additional reference sources not readily accessible to non-professional researchers, they know the questions to ask and the places to look.
Why might your family have appeared in the London Gazette? Well usually people look for a Mention in Despatches or the announcement of a medal, often during WWl or WWll however surprises can include finding changes of name and long forgotten bankruptcies.
We are now pleased to be able to offer a range of research services:

The Archive Query Service is for those needing some support to use the online archive. We will be pleased to carry out searches on your behalf and can also access the printed indexes.
The cost is £15 for up to 15 minutes of research.
The Bronze research service provides a rounded view of the subject including information about their war service, where they served, what they did and the conditions in which they operated. This is a fantastic service that we are proud to be able to offer. There cannot be any guarantee that what you expect to see can be found, some war records have been destroyed, memories fade and names change but the review will include research of the London Gazette and more than 12 independent and expert sources.
The cost is £60 for a report on an individual of your choice.
