NOTICE OF MAKING PUBLIC HIGHWAY STOPPING-UP ORDER

SECTION 116 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

CRABTREE, PASTON, STOPPING-UP OF PART OF CAR PARK AREA

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Peterborough, the Highway Authority for the area of highway land referred to in the Schedule hereto, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court, Bridge Street, Peterborough, on 21 January 2010, at 2.00 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highway Act 1980, that the area of highway land referred to in the Schedule shall be stopped up for the purposes of all traffic so that the same shall cease to be highway on the grounds that it is unnecessary.

A plan showing coloured hatched black the area of highway land to which the application relates may be seen, free of charge, at the Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough; the Central Library, Broadway, Peterborough; Bayard Place, Broadway, Peterborough during normal opening hours.

Any person who has an interest in the land abutting on or served by the said area of highway land or uses the area of highway land or is otherwise aggrieved has a right to be heard by the Court on the Hearing of the application by the Council.

Any person intending to attend the Hearing of this application is requested to inform the Solicitor to the Council, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough (Quoting Reference JCH/3995) before the date of the Hearing of their intention to appear.

Schedule

The carriageway situated in Welland, Peterborough starting at point A (a point approximately 17m east north east of the south easterly corner of house number 167 Crabtree) to point B (a point approximately 23.5 metres north north east of point A) for a width of approximately 1.5 metres.
