TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES, NO WAITING & LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND AMENDMENT TO CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE
(A) HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 90 – PROVISION OF TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES
(B) THE HOUNSLOW (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (2005, NO.1) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
(C) THE HOUNSLOW (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 20**
(D) THE HOUNSLOW (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.*) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45 and 124
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and introduce road humps under section 90 of the Highways Act 1980.
2. The general effect of the Traffic Calming Measures is to propose the introduction of a series of road humps in Princes Avenue,
The Ridgeway, and Park Drive, Chiswick as detailed in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
3. To reinstate the one-way working and no entry as detailed in The London Borough of Hounslow (Prescribed Routes) (No. 1) Traffic
Order 2005 and to amend it further by:
(a) to impose a one-way working in the carriageway of Park Place Drive that lies between its junction with Gunnersbury Avenue
and Park Drive in a north-east to south-west direction.
(b) to revoke Article 6 of the Hounslow (Prescribed Routes) (No.1) Traffic Order 2005.
4. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Amendment Order would be to further amend and the Hounslow (Waiting
and Loading Restriction) Order 2008:
(a) to impose no waiting “at any time” throughout the week as detailed in Schedule 2 to this notice
5. The general effect of the Parking Places Order would be to further amend The Hounslow (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2005
which imposes the Gunnersbury Estate Parking Scheme, by:
(a) Revoking shared use parking places on the south-west side of Princes Avenue that lies between Gunnersbury Lane and The Ridgeway
as specified in column 2 of Schedule 3 to this Notice.
6. The Council is proposing to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour in the lengths of Park Drive, Park Place Drive, Princes
Avenue, and The Ridgeway.
7. A copy of; the proposed Orders; the above-mentioned Orders of 2005 and 2008; the Council’s statement of reason for proposing
to make the Orders; a plan which shows the lengths of road to which the Orders relates can be inspected, 21 days from the
date on which this Notice is published, on-line at www.hounslow.gov.uk or at the Forms and Documents Counter at the London
Borough of Hounslow main reception at the Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN between the hours of 8:45am - 5pm Mondays
to Thursday and 8:45am - 4:45pm Friday. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Environment Department on

8. Any person desiring to object to the proposed orders or the traffic calming should send a statement in writing of their objection
and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment, London Borough of Hounslow, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3
4DN, quoting the reference TMO/P023/09, to be received by no later than Monday 20 July 2009.
