EAST LODGE LANE AND THE RIDGEWAY - INTRODUCTION OF 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND BRAMLEY ROAD – INTRODUCTION OF 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (“the Council”) propose to make the Enfield (Speed Limits) (No. 1) Traffic
Order 200* under sections 84(1) and 84(2) and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general effect of the Order would be, in the London Borough of Enfield to—
(a) revoke the 40 m.p.h. speed limit restriction for motor vehicles in the part of Bramley Road specified in Schedule 1 to this
Notice, returning it to 30 m.p.h. operation at all times; and
(b) imposes a 50 m.p.h. speed limit restriction for motor vehicles, to operate at all times, in parts of East Lodge Lane and The
Ridgeway specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
3. A copy of the proposed Order, of maps indicating the locations and effects and the Council;s statement of reasons for proposing
to make it, and any other relevant documents can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street,
Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Note: If you wish to discuss the proposals in more detail with a Council officer, please telephone the above-mentioned number
to arrange a mutually convenient time.
4. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order, or make any other representations in respect of it, should send a statement
in writing to that effect and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof, to the Operations Manager, Transportation,
the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD, quoting the reference LB/TG52/1032, by 8th July 2009.
5. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write to the Council in response to this Notice
may, upon written request, be made available to the press or to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if
they so wished.

Bramley Road, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Prince George Avenue to a point 55 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line
of South Lodge Drive.
Schedule 2
(50 m.p.h. Speed Limit)
1. East Lodge Lane, from a point 107 metres south of the south-western kerb-line of Cattlegate Road to a point 390 metres north-east of the
north-eastern kerb-line of The Ridgeway.
2. The Ridgeway, from a point 195 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Oak Avenue to a point 175 metres south-east of the
south-eastern kerb-line of East Lodge Lane.
