THE HARROW (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (AMENDMENT NO.4) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

1.  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Harrow has made the above mentioned orders under Sections 6, 7, 84, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

The general effect of the orders will be as follows:

2.  The Harrow (Speed Limit) (Amendment No.4) Traffic Order 2009 creates a 20mph zone comprising the following roads; Dalkeith Grove, Dovecourt Gardens, Du Cros Drive, between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 60 and 62 Du Cros Drive and its junction with Dalkeith Grove, Heronslea Drive, Jesmond Way, Morecambe Gardens, Pangbourne Drive, Tintagel Drive and Westbere Drive.

3.  The Harrow (Prohibition of Stopping Outside School) (Amendment No.4) Traffic Order 2009 prohibits the stopping of vehicles during the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, in the lengths of street specified in the schedule to this notice.

4.  A copy of the orders, which will come into operation on 27th April 2009, and a copy of they amend, including documents giving more particulars of the order, are available for inspection at request between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays at the One Stop Shop at the Civic Centre, until 6 weeks from the date on which the orders were made.

5.  If any person wishes to question the validity of the order or of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

Schedule

Vehicles not to stop during the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Dalkeith Grove

(a)  the north side,

(i)  between a point 6.00 metres south-west of a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 59 Dalkeith Grove and a point 25.56 metres north-east of that point;

(ii)  between a point 4.50 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 48 Dalkeith Grove and a point 7.30 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 46 Dalkeith Grove;

(b)  the south side, between a point 5.50 metres south-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 53 and 55 Dalkeith Grove and a point 25.56 metres south-west of that point.

Westbere Drive/Pangbourne Drive

the south side, between a point 20.00 metres west of a point opposite the western wall of School House, Pangbourne Drive, and a point 51.22 metres east of that point.
