THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. **) ORDER 2009.

(GODDINGTON LANE AREA, ORPINGTON; CURTISMILL WAY, ST. PAUL’S CRAY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 84(1)(c), (1A) & (2), 87 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a)  introduce Waiting Restrictions as specified in the Schedule to this notice;

(b)  introduce a 20mph speed limit in the roads or lengths of road in Orpington as specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.

A copy of the proposed orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/529 not later than 13th May 2009.

Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

Schedule :-

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

No Waiting At Any Time:-

CURTISMILL WAY, St. Paul’s Cray, the north side, from the north eastern kerbline of Chipperfield Road north eastwards to a point 2m north east of the eastern boundary of No. 3.

GODDINGTON LANE, Orpington, the south west side, from a point 14.5m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Warwick Close north westwards to a point 13.5m north west of the north western kerbline of Warwick Close.

WARWICK CLOSE, Orpington, both sides, from the south western kerbline of Goddington Lane south westwards for a distance of 10m.

SPEED LIMIT

20mph speed limit along whole length or part of the following roads in the Goddington Lane Area, Orpington:-

CAROLYN DRIVE, DENE DRIVE, DURLEY GARDENS, GODDINGTON CHASE, GODDINGTON LANE (between Sevenoaks Road and Court Road), WARWICK CLOSE, WYVERN CLOSE.
