THE BEXLEY (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TRAFFIC ORDER 200X
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above mentioned Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedules 5 and 9 to the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Bexley (20 mph Speed Limit) Traffic Order 200X would be to introduce a speed limit of twenty miles
per hour in the following roads:-
(a) the whole length in Alderman Close, Crayford; Alfriston Close, Crayford; Barnock Close, Crayford; Bascombe Grove, Crayford;
Carnet Close, Crayford; Courtland Close, Crayford; Falstaff Close, Crayford; Melrose Avenue, Crayford; Saltcote Close, Crayford;
and Woolbrook Road, Crayford,
(b) Galloway Drive, Crayford; between Melrose Avenue, Crayford; and
(c) the un-named road between Bascombe Grove and Heathlee Road, Crayford.
3. A copy of the proposed Order, the Bexley (20 mph Speed Limit) Traffic Order 200X; the Council’s statement of reasons, and
of a map which indicates the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays
to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB.

5. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds
thereof, to the Traffic and Road Safety Group, Wyncham House, 2nd Floor, 207 Longlands Road, Sidcup DA15 7JH within twenty-one
days of the date of this Notice.
6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985
this Council would be legally obliged to make any comment received in response to this Notice, open to public inspection.
