RELATING TO CRISPIN CRESCENT, DERRY ROAD, MALLINSON ROAD AND MELLER CLOSE, BEDDINGTON
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above Order under sections 84 and 124 of, and Part
III of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic
Act 1991 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Amendment) Order 1999.
2. The principal objective of the Order is to facilitate the introduction of a 20mph speed limit zone in Crispin Crescent, Derry
Road, Mallinson Road and Meller Close to improve road safety for children and other pedestrians outside the Beddington Primary
School.
3. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce a speed limit of 20mph in Crispin Crescent, Derry Road, Mallinson Road
and Meller Close, Beddington.
4. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents:
(i) the draft Order, containing the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order; and
(ii) a plan showing the location and effect of the proposals.

5. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send a statement in writing including the grounds for your objection
and quoting the Reference SL750 to the address in the following paragraph by Wednesday 22 April 2009.

7. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be made aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to information)
Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this Notice open to public inspection,
if requested.
8. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to construct road humps under sections 90A and 90C of the Highways
Act 1980, as amended by Schedule 10 of the Transport Act 1981 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulation 1999.
9. The proposed nature, dimensions and locations of the road humps are as follows:-
(a) a round-topped road hump with a length of 3.5 metres and a maximum height of 75 mm in:-
(i) Crispin Crescent, Beddington in five locations:- outside Nos. 11 and 16; Nos. 23 and 28; Nos. 41 and 52; Nos. 59, 66 and 68;
and Nos. 79 and 100; and
(ii) Mallinson Road, Beddington in four locations:- outside Nos. 2 and 3; No. 17; No. 27; and Beddington Park Primary School;
(b) a flat-topped entry road hump with an overall length of 7 metres, a plateau length of 4 metres, a maximum height of 75 mm
and a maximum approach ramp gradient of 1:20 in Derry Road, Beddington at its junction with Beddington Lane.
10. Any representations regarding the road humps should be made in writing and quoting the Reference T3063 to the address in paragraph 6 by Wednesday 22 April 2009.
