REVISED SPEED LIMIT – JUBILEE WAY, CHESSINGTON
THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 16th March 2009 made the above Order
under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
1. The general effect of the Order, which will become operational on 23rd March 2009, will be to revoke and re-enact the provisions
of the Kingston upon Thames (40 mph Speed Limit) (No. 1) Traffic Order 2003, so that the speed limit on the length of Jubilee
Way which lies between Cox Lane and a point 55 metres north-east of the Indoor Bowls Club will be changed from 40 mph to 30 mph.
2. The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars including a plan showing the lengths of road affected by the
proposed speed limit, are available for inspection until 27th April 2009 at:-
• the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays
inclusive;
• Hook & Chessington Library, The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington during normal opening hours.
3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is
not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or
that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application
for the purpose to the High Court by 27th April 2009.
