THE REDBRIDGE (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO *****) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

THE REDBRIDGE (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO **) ORDER 2009

WELLS PRIMARY SCHOOL—20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE—ALDEBURGH PLACE & KNIGHTON DRIVE—WAITING RESTRICTIONS

1.  Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, propose to make the above mentioned Orders in exercise of the powers, conferred by sections 6, 84 and 124 of, and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2.  The general effect of the 20 mph Speed Limit Order would be to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit in the roads and lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.

3.  The general effect of the waiting and loading restriction Order would be to further amend the Redbridge (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993 so as to introduce waiting restrictions operative “at any time” on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

4.  Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Order being amended, together with a plan of the area and the Councils Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders, along with more detailed particulars of the scheme may be inspected between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm, on Mondays to Fridays (9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Wednesdays), until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NN.

5.  Any person wishing to object or make representations on the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Chief Engineering & Building Services Officer, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY, quoting reference EBS/TE/KW/ by no later than 9 April 2009.

1.  Aldeburgh Place.

2.  Barclay Oval.

3.  Churchwood Gardens.

4.  Knighton Drive, from its junction with High Road, Woodford Green to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 57 and 59 Knighton Drive.

5.  The access road from Barclay Oval to the rear boundary of Nos 2, 3 and 4 Aldeburgh Place.

6.  The service road fronting High Road, Woodford Green, from its junction with Knighton Drive to its junction with High Road, Woodford Green.

Schedule 2

Aldeburgh Place

(a)  The north-east side, between the south-eastern kerbline of Knighton Drive and a point 12 metres south-east of that kerbline.

(b)  The south-west side, between the south-eastern kerb line of Knighton Drive and a point 22 metres south-east of that kerbline.

Knighton Drive

(a)  The north-east and north-west sides, between the south-eastern kerbline of High Road, Woodford Green and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 40 and 42 Knighton Drive.

(b)  The south-west side, between the south-eastern kerbline of High Road, Woodford Green and the north-western kerbline of the service road fronting 536 to 600 High Road, Woodford Green.
