THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. **) ORDER 2009.

THE BROMLEY (A208 - RED HILL, CHISLEHURST) (VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2009.

(RED HILL AND WHITE HORSE HILL, CHISLEHURST)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 84(1)(c), (1A) & (2), 87 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Orders would be to:—

(a)  introduce Waiting Restrictions as specified in the Schedule to this notice;

(b)  introduce a variable speed limit as specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.

A copy of the proposed orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/523 not later than 1st April 2009.

Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

Schedule:

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

No Waiting At Any Time:—

CRANMORE ROAD, Chislehurst, both sides, from the south western kerbline of White Horse Hill south westwards for a distance of 10m.

OAKDENE AVENUE, Chislehurst, both sides, from the south western kerbline of White Horse Hill south westwards for a distance of 10m.

RED HILL, Chislehurst, the north east side, from a point opposite the common boundary of Corris and Merok north westwards for a distance of 30m.

WHITE HORSE HILL, Chislehurst, the south west side, (i) from a point 10m north west of the north western kerbline of Cranmore Road south eastwards to a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Cranmore Road; (ii) from a point 10m north west of the north western kerbline of Oakdene Avenue south eastwards to a point 8.3m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Oakdene Avenue.

VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT

20mph speed limit between 8.00am and 9.30am and between 2.30pm and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:

RED HILL, Chislehurst (A208) between a point 37m north west of the north western kerbline of Albany Road and a point 11m south east of the south eastern kerbline of Victoria Road (south eastern arm).
