THE HARROW (SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO.2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

THE HARROW (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOL) (AMENDMENT NO.1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

1.   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Harrow has made the above mentioned orders under Sections 6, 7, 84, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.

The general effect of the orders will be as follows;

2.  The Harrow (Speed Limit) (Amendment No.2) Traffic Order 2009 introduces the following list of roads to the existing Charlton Road/Kenmore Road 20mph zone; Cody Close, Liddell Close, Moorhouse Road, Waghorn Road and Warneford Road.

3.   The Harrow (Prohibition of Stopping Outside School) (Amendment No.1) Traffic Order 2009 will prohibit the stopping of vehicles outside the children’s centre in Warneford Road on the north-west side, between a point opposite the south-western wall of No. 62 Warneford Road and a point 31.56 metres north-east of that point. This will operate during the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

4.  A copy of the orders which will come into operation on 2nd March 2009, and a copy of the orders they amend, including documents giving more particulars of the order, are available for inspection at request between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays at the One Stop Shop at the Civic Centre, until 6 weeks from the date on which the orders were made.

5.  If any person wishes to question the validity of the orders or of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
