1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 26 January 2009 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45,
46, 49, 84 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part
1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
2. The general effect of the ‘Prescribed Routes’ Orders will be to:-
(a) impose one-way working from north-east to south-west in Glengall Road, between the south-western kerb-line of Kilburn High
Road and the north-eastern kerb-line of Charteris Road;
(b) prohibit vehicles from entering that length of:-
(i) carriageway situated at or adjacent to the junction of Priory Park Road and Hazelmere Road in the London Borough of Brent
which lies between the north-western boundary of No. 94 Priory Park Road and the south-eastern kerb-line of Priory Park Road;
(ii) Hazelmere Road in the said London Borough which lies between a point 4.00 metres north-west of the south-eastern boundary
of No. 94 Priory Park Road and a point 7.30 metres north-west of that boundary.
3. The prohibition referred to in paragraphs:-
(a) 2(a) above will not apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in
accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Metropolitan
Police;
(b) 2(b) above will not apply to:-
(i) pedal cycles, or
(ii) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
4. The general effect of the ‘City Car Club’ Order will be to provide parking places for car club vehicles in certain lengths
of the streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
5. The general effect of the ‘Parking Places Amendment’ Orders will be to:-
(a) revoke two resident parking places in Hazelmere Road north of Glengall Road and replace with three new resident parking places,
each measuring 5.00 metres in length, on the east side of Hazelmere Road;
(b) make minor reductions in length to existing dual use and resident parking places in Aldershot Road; Charteris Road; Douglas
Road; Esmond Road; Glengall Road; Hazelmere Road; Kenilworth Road; Kingsley Road; Priory Park Road; St. Julian’s Road and
Tennyson Road following the provision of the safety improvement at their junctions;
(c) increase in length the:-
(i) dual use parking place in Charteris Road outside No. 17 Hazelmere Road by 3.20 metres;
(ii) resident parking place in Tennyson Road outside No. 62 by 2.20 metres.
6. The general effect of the ‘Speed Limit’ Order will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour in certain lengths
of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
7. The general effect of the ‘Waiting and Loading Restrictions’ Order will be further to amend the Brent (Waiting and Loading
Restriction) Order 1979, so that:-
(a) waiting by vehicles (including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle)
will be prohibited at any time in the length of street specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice;
(b) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will
be changed so that prohibition will apply at any time in certain lengths of streets specified in Schedule 4 to this Notice;
(c) the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting
goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for a period of more than 20 minutes in the same place will be changed so that such
prohibition will apply between 11.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week in certain lengths of streets specified in the
Schedule 4 to this Notice;
(d) the sale or offer for sale of goods from a vehicle will be prohibited (except on Sundays in the length of street specified
in Schedule 3) unless there is in force a valid licence issued by the Brent Borough Council or the goods are immediately taken
into or delivered at premises adjacent to the vehicle from which the sale is effected;
(e) the use of any vehicle or of any animal or the wearing of fancy dress or other costume, wholly or mainly for the purpose of
advertising will be prohibited.
8. The general effect of the ‘Goods Vehicles Free Loading Places’ Order will be to make a half metre reduction in the length
of the existing loading parking place in Kingsley Road following the provision of the safety improvements at its junctions.
9. A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 9 February 2009, of a map of the relevant area and of the
above-mentioned Orders of 1979, 2001, 2004 and 2005 (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders), can be inspected
during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were
made at:-
(a) The One Stop Local Office, Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley, Middx, HA9 9HX; and
(b) The One Stop Local Office, Brent House, 349-357 High Road, Wembley, Middx, HA9 6BZ.
10. Copies of the Orders may be purchased from the address mentioned in paragraph 9(b) above.
11. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that
it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may, within six
weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1
City Car Club Parking Places
HAZELMERE ROAD, the north-east side, from a point 8.00 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Charteris Road
south-eastward for a distance of 11.00 metres.
KENILWORTH ROAD, the south-west side, from a point 3.50 metres north-west of a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No.
69 Priory Park Road north-westward for a distance of 13.00 metres.
PRIORY PARK ROAD, the north-west side, from a point 19.50 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-eastern wall of
No. 42 Priory Park Road north-eastward for a distance of 9.00 metres.
TENNYSON ROAD
(a) the north-east side, from a point 10.00 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Glengall Road north-westward for
a distance of 11.50 metres;
(b) the south-west side, from a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 50 and 52 Tennyson Road north-westward for a distance of
11.00 metres.
