THE MERTON 20MPH SPEED LIMIT (NO. 13) ORDER 2009
PARKWAY AREA
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the
Metropolis, has made the above mentioned Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred
to as “the Act”) and all other enabling powers. The Order was made on 28 January 2009 and shall become operational on 16 February
2009.
2. The general effect of the 20 mph Speed Limit Order is to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the streets and lengths
of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. A copy of the Order, a plan identifying the area affected by the Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the
Order can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre,
London Road, Morden, Surrey.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is
not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act, or of any relevant regulations
made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the
Order was made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
