BLUNDELL STREET AREA 20 MPH ZONE
THE ISLINGTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on 28 January 2009 made the above mentioned Order
under Section 6 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
The measures are being introduced to reduce vehicle speeds and increase pedestrian safety around the Robert Blair School in
Blundell Street.
2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Order will be to introduce a 20 Mph speed limit for all vehicles proceeding in the
entire lengths of Blundell Street, Brandon Road, Bunning Way, Frederica Street and Sutterton Road.
3. The Order, which will come into force on 30 January 2009, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order
are available for inspection during normal office hours until 11 March 2009 at the following location:
Public Realm, Islington Borough Council, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR.

4. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it
is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for
the purpose to the High Court by 11 March 2009.
