THE CAMDEN (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (BROOMSLEIGH STREET AREA) TRAFFIC ORDER 2008

THE CAMDEN (PARKING PLACES) (CA-P) (AMENDMENT NO.14) TRAFFIC ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Camden on 24 December 2008 made these Orders under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the details as previously published on the 01 May 2008.

The effect of the (Speed Limit) Order will be to introduce a maximum speed limit of 20 mph (miles per hour) for any motor vehicles travelling in all the streets mentioned in the Schedule to this notice.

The general nature and effect of the (CA-P) Order will be to change the parking layout to introduce two new zebra crossings, near to the junctions with Westbere Road and Solent Road.

• move a residents bay from outside nos.9 & 11 Mill Lane to the opposite side of the road.

• move motorcycle bay further west by 10 metres.

• remove two shared-use parking spaces and replace them outside no.1 Mill Lane.

• Shorten shared-use bay outside nos.122-124 Mill Lane by 9 metres.

• Amend the lengths of residents bays in Lyncroft Gardens; Ingham Road; and Crediton Hill because of the removal of redundant disabled bays.

A copy of the Order which will come into force on 26 January 2009, together with details/plan showing the location, may be inspected during office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive, at the Culture and Environment Department Reception, fifth floor, Town Hall, Argyle Street, WC1H 8EQ.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
