1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the
Metropolis, propose to make the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers
2. The general effect of the 20 mph Zone Order would be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the streets and lengths
of the streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The general effects of the Waiting and Loading Restrictions Amendment
Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The general
effects of the Parking Places Order would be to remove existing permit holder bays from a point 21.8 meters south west of
the south western kerbline of the entrance to ‘The Lawns’ Lake Road, in a south western direction for a distance of 10 meters,
this being replaced with a length of double yellow lines.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders, a plan identifying the area affected by the proposed Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons
for making the Orders can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton
Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.
4. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds
thereof to the Environment and Regeneration Department (Ref SGE) at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey,
SM4 5DX no later than 5th January 2009.
