NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Penrith Golf Club, of Salkeld Road, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 8SG, is
applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole
at National Grid Reference NY 5177 3261 at Penrith Golf Club, Salkeld Road, Cumbria.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 5 cubic metres per hour,
70 cubic metres per day, 10,000 cubic metres per year, between March and October.
The water will be used for irrigating the golf course. A copy of the application
and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of
charge, at all reasonable hours at Penrith Golf Club, Salkeld Road, Penrith, between
24th December 1999 and 24th January 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations
about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Northern
Area Office, Ghyll Mount, Gillan Way, Penrith 40 Business Park, Penrith, Cumbria,
before the end of the said period.
