Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that C & H Edwards, of Hillcrest, Somersham Road, Pidley, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE17 3DG, are applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 6/33/53/S/639 to abstract water from inland water consisting of a drain in the Warboys, Somersham and Pidley Internal Drainage District, at Somersham, Cambridgeshire.   The variation is to add additional land and include for abstraction from private dykes and drains contiguous to the land at Long Drove and Cross Drove, Pidley Fen, Pidley cum Fenton parish, Huntingdonshire district, in the county of Cambridgeshire, all within the Warboys, Somersham and Pidley Internal Drainage District. The water is for spray irrigation purposes with no increase in licensed quantities between 1st May and 30th September each year.   A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Farm Office, Hillcrest, Somersham Road, Pidley, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE17 3DG, between 7th January 1998 and 4th February 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period.
