CORONAVIRUS REGULATIONS: WRITTEN STATEMENT BY THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES

“In light of the current Coronavirus public health emergency, I have made regulations to ensure that the public are protected as far as possible from the transmission of the virus.”

“In accordance with Regulation 3, I declare that the incidence or transmission of novel Coronavirus constitutes a serious and imminent threat to public health, and the measures outlined in these regulations are considered as an effective means of delaying or preventing further transmission of the virus.”

This is a declaration made under the Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Wales) Regulations 2020 on 17 March and it is also to be treated as a declaration for the purposes of Part 4 of Schedule 21 to the Coronavirus Act (powers relating to potentially infectious persons)
